Valeria Vidula, Artist

I believe that beauty has the power to transform. For me, creating is a way of connecting with beauty — through colour, light, nature and the simple things that make life feel meaningful. 

I believe that when we surround ourselves with beauty and harmony, we begin to see the world differently. And when beauty inspires us, we are inspired to create more beauty ourselves. 

I was born in Plovdiv, Bulgaria — a city with a rich artistic and cultural heritage. Its atmosphere, history and appreciation of beauty were among my earliest inspirations and helped shape my sensitivity to art. 

Creating has also been a part of my family for generations. The women in my family have always found ways to express their creativity through their hands, passing this love of making from one generation to the next. 

VIVIARTE grew naturally from this heritage and from my own artistic journey. It brings together my paintings and the handmade creations of the women in my family — different forms of creativity connected by the same belief: that beauty is meant to be created, shared and lived. 

This is the spirit of VIVIARTE.

Artist Bio

Valeria Vidula is a Bulgarian contemporary painter born in Plovdiv, a city whose artistic and cultural atmosphere was among her earliest inspirations. Her work explores the transformative power of beauty through colour, light, texture and emotion. 

Working primarily in mixed media and oil, she combines the fluidity of acrylic inks with the depth and luminosity of oils, often incorporating subtle touches of gold. Her paintings move between contemporary realism and subtle abstraction, with florals, landscapes and seascapes as recurring subjects. 

Inspired by nature, travel and the Mediterranean light of Italy and Greece, she seeks not simply to reproduce what she sees, but to capture the feeling that beauty awakens within us. 

Valeria developed her artistic voice through independent study, masterclasses with established artists and a two-year intensive professional programme at the Milan Art Institute. Her work has been exhibited in Bulgaria and selected for international group exhibitions.

Maria Risheva (Mimi), Textile Artist

A story of creative women spanning generations.

Mimi inherited her passion and craftsmanship from her mother and grandmother, continuing a family tradition where creativity was expressed through skilled hands and patient dedication.

Rooted in traditional techniques, Mimi reinterprets classic designs with a contemporary sensibility, transforming each piece into an elegant statement of modern femininity. She works with carefully selected natural materials — cashmere, mohair, silk, and linen — often enriching her creations with delicate sequins or crystals to add a subtle touch of luxury.

Skilled in both knitting and crocheting, she thoughtfully combines techniques in innovative ways, giving every design a distinctive character.

For Mimi, each work is more than something to wear — it is an invitation to experience joy, confidence and self-appreciation through the beauty of textile art and skilled handwork.
