Joy & Abundance explores the transformative power of beauty.

The painting began with rough, uncertain layers, far from what would eventually emerge. Colours, shapes and textures gradually covered and transformed one another. Some of the first marks disappeared from view, but remained beneath the surface, becoming part of the painting’s depth.

As the work developed, colour, light and gold brought a new sense of energy and abundance. The earlier layers were not erased — they became part of something new.

This process became a metaphor for something beyond the canvas.

Perhaps beauty does not erase what is difficult, imperfect or hidden. Perhaps it transforms it, allowing something new to emerge.

Joy & Abundance speaks of that moment when this transformation becomes possible: when colour begins to overflow, light finds its way through, and life feels generous again.

For me, abundance is not simply having more. It is the feeling of being open to what is already there — to colour, light, beauty, possibility and joy.

And perhaps this is where beauty becomes more than something we see.
It becomes a force that changes us, and through us, the world around us.
